Historic Sites and Structures

The Vermont State Register of Historic Places includes archeological sites, historic buildings, structures, and landscapes. Buildings, structures, and landscapes are listed as individual sites or in groups such as downtown areas or farms. The Historic Sites and Structures Survey is the official list of sites significant for their historic, architectural, or engineering merit in Vermont. The survey is the collaborative work of property owners, planners, and government officials.

The National Register of Historic Places is the Nation's official list of cultural resources worthy of preservation. Begun in 1966, the National Register is a national program coordinated by the National Park Service, which is part of the U.S. Department of the Interior. National Register properties include buildings, sites, structures, districts, and objects that are significant in American history, architecture, archeology, engineering, or culture.

The following pages contain survey information on the State and National Register properties of the Town of Williston. Please contact the Williston CLG Coordinator for additional information at 802-878-6704 or contact the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation
