Letter to Williston Police Department from Susan Powers
Greetings! I am writing this letter in conjunction with our Chief to
inform you of the services I will be offering to you to serve our community
as your animal Control Officer.
I will be available for any questions or situation regarding all domestic
animals (ie dog, cat, rodent, bird); farm animals, and wildlife situations.
Many of these situations require networking with State and Local officials
such as Fish and Game, wildlife rehap specialist, the Department of
Agriculture, etc. with whom I already have working relationships due
to my work and involvement in these fields for over 25 years.
Of particular concern to me are the abuse and neglect cases. In this
age of increased awareness of the direct link between people involved
with animal abuse and their strong potential to eventually also create
human victims, I feel this is a serious need in our community for resources
to be available should a situation like this arise.
I look forward to working with you and will be available should you
have questions or need information or help in situations.
